Half life 2 Episode 1 (http://ep1.half-life2.com/) will be coming out June 1st so I guess there is always that to look forward to. It will follow the story directly after the events in half life 2.
In the meantime I've mostly been playing Oblivion plus a bit of Age of Empires 3. I've finished the main story and the fighters guild missons, so now I'm just traveling around Cyrodill raiding random dungeons and doing the occainsional quest. Ho-hum.

I've never play HL... I have always wondered what it's like. Suposedly it's monsters, right? or just humans...

I have been watching live coverage of E3! It's so awesome! They even got an interview with Will Wright and got to try Spore. Plus loads of other game previews and new consoles like the PS3, and the Wii. I would check it out, it's on channel 101 up here, or G4 tech tv.

Thats okay though my buddys at spore-game.net always having the latest spore vids uploaded so at least I know about that.
Plus I have the E3 rss feed so at least I'm getting the info...no vids though.
As for half life 2, its a fairly simple sounding story, an alien race called the combine have taken over earth and you leading the resistance against them. It may sound simple but trust me if you played it...Its awsome. The freaky guy that isn't holding a shotgun is a headcrab zombie.(headcrabs were brought to earth during the invasion, they basicly jump on peoples heads and turn them into zombies, nasty stuff) The person holding the shotgun is Alyx, another leader of the resistance. Apparently she will play a major roll in episode 1 being with the character about 85% of the time.
Sounds cool! Also sounds a bit like that new Insomniac game... Can remember it's name though. About an Alien invasion in 1951, like CoD and Halo combined.
Also Fable 2 for the X-Box 360 looks cool, pistols and all the good stuff, (it has to come out for PC some time... Right?)
I watched the Spore Game play movie... That has to be one of the best games, if not the best, I have ever seen... Ever.
Ya there are quite a few new spore vids, you can get them all at spore-game.net (no there not paying me its just a good site :D)
AS for fable, the first did come out for PC and I quite enjoyed it. It was fun to walk into town and go GRRRR and everyone would cheer and start chasing you around :D
I remember one time (warning, Fable war story imminent) there was this little girl in Bowerstone, who couldn't stop following me say 'Hero, HERO!' and every time I visited the town she did that. So I made a hobby of running from her as fast as I could, sadly it was not too successful.
Ya I remember that girl, if you talked to her she gave you a quest...It was way to hard though.
The was the blue mushroom quest, right?
No I don't think so, it was some sort of mushroom related quest but I don't think it was blue mushroom.
I downloaded a demo for HL2 and I found it fun, and a bit scary. I've played Doom before though so it wasn't too bad. The gameplay and graphics were good. In the demo I got to play levels one and six (not through just one and six =\ ). One is really short but funny than is seems, you get to bug the guards =D and that is worth putting it in. Level 6 "we don't go to Ravenholm" was hard, a lot of hard 'where do I go?' places, and lots of monsters. Seems like a pretty cool game.
Sorry for double posting Dreimar. But I forgot to ask, what/who are the guards? human, alein? Because in level one that one guard takes off his helmut but it's your human friend... so it leaves me very confused.....
Well, the guards, to the best of my understanding, are highly modified humans, which has been done by a fairly unknown alien species, who kinda look like big slugs.
